Where traditional SEO focuses on ranking in search results, GEO focuses on getting your brand cited, referenced, and recommended by AI platforms like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude. As more people turn to AI for answers and recommendations, visibility in these platforms is becoming an increasingly important part of any digital marketing strategy.

    SEO and GEO share a lot of the same foundations: strong content, authority, and technical health all matter for both. But GEO focuses deeper on how AI systems read, interpret, and select sources when generating responses. Where SEO targets ranked positions on a results page, GEO targets the answers themselves.
